This premier institute will focus on Animation, VFX, Gaming, Comics, and XR (AVGC-XR). With `3.91 billion in funding and support from FICCI and CII, IICT aims to become a centre of excellence for education, innovation, and skilling. This advanced technology enables non-contact, real-time monitoring of train wheel geometry using laser scanners and high-speed cameras. DMRC will oversee procurement, supply, installation, and commissioning of the units. This strategic move marks Indian Railways’ commitment to modernising infrastructure and adopting cutting-edge solutions for safer, smarter, and more efficient rail operations.
