BEST launched 10 electric AC double-decker buses that will operate between Kurla and Andheri on Route 332 and from the east exit of Andheri station to Seepz on Route 415. The buses will operate from Kurla depot to Andheri East and then have three return trips between Andheri and Seepz, before returning to Kurla depot for charging. The fare will begin from Rs 6 for a 5 km ride. Each bus costs around Rs 20 million. There are now 20 AC double deckers in the suburbs with the previous 10 being deployed in BKC. In the island city, BEST runs a fleet of 25 AC double deckers from CSMT to NCPA and Cuffe Parade.
