Thiruvananthapuram Municipal Corporation and ANERT are evaluating 234 government and corporation-owned buildings in the city for grid-tied rooftop solar photovoltaic power plants. Under the smart city initiative, it has already installed solar power plants in five buildings and plans to generate 10.2 MW power with over 200 additional installations.
