CII-Godrej GBC launches 'GreenPro'

GreenPro assesses ‘How Green a product is’ and highlights the way forward to achieve excellence in environmental performance
CII-Godrej GBC has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Underwriters Laboratories (UL) for their Product Certification of ‘GreenPro’, Green Product Certification in India. GreenPro is a holistic mechanism that assess ‘How Green a product is’ and highlights the way forward to achieve excellence in environmental performance. The objective of this product’s initiative is to facilitate market transformation green product in India.

Underwriters Laboratories is selected by CII-Godrej GBC as the knowledge partner for offering GreenPro Services. UL is a premier global independent safety science company that has championed progress for 120 years. Its more than 10,000 professionals are guided by the UL mission to promote safe working and living environments for all people. UL uses research and standards to continually advance and meet ever-evolving safety needs. It partners with businesses, manufacturers, trade associations and international regulatory authorities to bring solutions to a more complex global supply chain.

The MoU between CII-Godrej’s Centre of Excellence on Green Business and UL was signed on 8 June to initiate the ‘GreenPro’.
