DPR under preparation for 13 projects

Current progress of works in the city: Total 20 projects are identified in the Smart City Proposal, of which, two projects have been completed. Work order has been issued for four projects and one project has been tendered out. DPR is under preparation for the remaining 13 projects. We have issued work order for design and construction of roads, bridges, culverts, sidewalks and MEP works on the TenderSURE concept for ABD under Nagpur Smart City Project (Project TenderSURE). Preliminary works such as surveys and road marking have been commenced by the contractor. We have also issued tenders for the project Home Sweet Home, which includes construction of 1,024 dwelling units for the resettlement and rehabilitation of project affected people under the town planning scheme. DPR for multi-level car parking is under preparation. And, under pan-city, installation of GPRS in buses has been completed and smart bus-shelter is under progress. Also, 136,000 LED lights will be installed in 10 zones of the city, of which, 48,571 LED lights have already been installed.

Total budgeted amount towards the city’s civil infrastructure works: As of now, the total estimated cost towards civil infrastructure works is around Rs 9.70 billion. The amount spent till date is around Rs 1.80 billion

Centre Disburses Over Rs 24,610 mn in XV Finance Commission Grants

The Union Government has released XV Finance Commission tied grants during the financial year 2025–26 to rural local bodies in Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab and Sikkim and has released withheld portions of tied and untied grants to Himachal Pradesh, Odisha and Tripura. Centre Releases Over Rs 15 bn as XV FC Grants to Rural Bodies

The Union Government has released over Rs 15 bn in grants recommended by the Fifteenth Finance Commission (XV FC) to strengthen Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and Rural Local Bodies (RLBs) in six states.
