Andhra Pradesh government plans to create IT concept cities

According to IT minister Gudivada Amarnath, the state government intends to establish three IT Concept Cities in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Anantapur.

"With ambitions to establish three IT Model towns in Visakhapatnam, Tirupati, and Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh is making great leaps in the development of its IT industry. These cities were chosen for their proximity to user sectors, availability of human capital, and current technological presence. The objective is to draw domestic and international IT/ITeS companies from a variety of industries, including healthcare, education, travel, insurance, and banking "Amarnath remarked.

According to him, the IT industry will benefit from the IT Concept cities' quick execution and cost savings.

The time it takes to launch operations will be cut in half thanks to prompt clearances, and there will be seamless access to highways and airports.

In addition to plug-and-play IT office space and co-working spaces, he stated, "the availability of competent people will be ensured, and world-class IT-driven common and social infrastructure will be given." The state also brags about a trend in operating costs that is 20–25% lower, with a 5% average difference between challenger and aspirant cities.

According to him, AP's IT strategy is forward-thinking and includes provisions for work-from-home incentives, electricity tariffs, transportation subsidies, and start-up ecosystem development.
