CISF presents security recommendations for Ram Temple inauguration

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is poised to inaugurate the Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22 of the coming year. The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), in its conclusive security consultancy draft report, has presented 13 pivotal recommendations to the state government. These encompass the utilisation of cutting-edge technology, crowd control and management procedures, crisis management protocols, and assessments of threat perception and risk analysis.

Both the Uttar Pradesh government and the Shri Ram Janambhoomi Teertha Kshetra trust are deeply involved in the finalisation of this long-anticipated project, adding the finishing touches.

Last year, the Uttar Pradesh government sought security consultation services from the CISF. The CISF's key suggestions included employing modern gadgets, implementing crowd control and management procedures, devising crisis management strategies, conducting threat perception and risk analysis, establishing access control and perimeter protection, evaluating manpower requirements, applying security systems, conducting security and fire audits, ensuring document security, formulating material security procedures, internal intelligence, fire protection measures, crisis management schemes, executive protection, and providing training in security and fire protection matters for the organisation's officers and personnel.

As the majority of the construction work nears completion and the countdown begins for the final touches on the under-construction Ram Temple in Ayodhya, government sources have informed ANI that the CISF submitted its final draft of security consultancy services to the state government a few months ago to guarantee foolproof security for the religious site.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, announcing last month that he will attend the inauguration of the Ram Temple on January 22, 2024, laid the foundation stone on August 5, 2020. Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Tirtha Kshetra office bearers, along with religious leaders, extended an invitation to the PM.

The CISF provided security consultancy services to the UP government following a proposal sent to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) last year. This sought the services of the force's anti-sabotage security experts to collaborate with the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust from the construction stage onward.

Subsequently, the CISF furnished security consultancy services to the Uttar Pradesh government, submitting various draft reports, including the initial one from the beginning of the preceding year. The state government incurred the costs as an expert team, led by a senior commandant rank officer, stationed themselves in Ayodhya for several months.
