Hyderabad Realty Market Holds Firm Amid Global Uncertainty

Hyderabad's real estate market has shown resilience despite global economic uncertainty and the West Asia conflict, driven by sustained buyer interest and infrastructure development. CREDAI Hyderabad reported that the city recorded over 19,000 residential sales in the first half of 2026 and that average housing prices crossed Rs 8,250 per square foot (sq ft). The association said nearly 20,000 new housing units were launched during the period, while unsold inventory stood at around 56,000 units, reflecting longer project completion cycles.

The city chapter president N Jaideep Reddy indicated that expectations of a price correction were unrealistic given Hyderabad's growth trajectory and that strong demand combined with rising construction costs would continue to support prices. He referred to the property's show theme and emphasised that demand would not abate. Developers reported that the West Asia conflict had increased costs of steel, copper, aluminium, glass, tiles, paints, freight, labour and land, making significant reductions in apartment prices unlikely.

President-elect B Jagannath Rao noted that property values in prime localities such as Gachibowli have nearly doubled in recent years and urged prospective buyers not to delay purchases. The upcoming three-day CREDAI Hyderabad Property Show, scheduled for August 28 to 30 at the HITEX Exhibition Centre, is expected to feature over 100 RERA-approved residential and commercial projects. Banks will provide home loan assistance and experts will conduct sessions aimed at helping buyers evaluate options.

Industry participants said the combination of healthy sales, fresh launches and limited stock in certain segments underlines the market's robustness even as broader markets slow. Observers added that rising input costs and ongoing infrastructure work will shape supply timelines and price trajectories locally. The trade body suggested the event will provide a platform for transactions and for policymakers and lenders to engage with stakeholders.
