Nashik metropolitan authority to act against illegal cons

In a decisive move, Satishkumar Khadke, the newly appointed Commissioner of the Nashik Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (NMRDA), has affirmed the authority's commitment to take action against unauthorized constructions and encroachments within its jurisdiction. The NMRDA encompasses six tehsils, including Nashik, and parts of Trimbakeshwar, Dindori, Niphad, Sinnar, and Igatpuri.

Khadke, who assumed his role as Commissioner of NMRDA, has articulated a proactive stance towards addressing the issue of haphazard construction within the region. Officials are currently in the process of formulating a comprehensive development plan aimed at curbing unauthorized constructions and ensuring planned urban growth.

Furthermore, the NMRDA is expected to develop a strategy that emphasizes revenue generation and self-sustainability for the organization. Khadke stated, "We will soon prepare a plan and send it to the state government, stressing the creation of well-defined industrial and recreational zones."

Discussing the authority's measures against unauthorized constructions, Khadke pointed out the significant revenue losses incurred by the state government due to such activities. To rectify this, the NMRDA has initiated a process of issuing notices to owners of unauthorized constructions, urging them to regularize their properties in compliance with regulations.

The NMRDA's commitment to curbing unauthorized developments and promoting planned growth is a significant step towards fostering a well-structured and sustainable urban environment within the region.
