NBCC inks MoU to help in cons. of 1 lakh housing units

An agreement was inked by the state-owned NBCC to work together on the construction of 100,000 homes in Zambia. According to a statement from NBCC, the Navratna CPSE of the Government of India, the two companies have signed an MOU to work together on the construction of 1 lakh low- and medium-cost homes in Zambia to help with the country's severe housing shortage.

In the presence of P K Gupta, CMD, NBCC, the Agreement was virtually signed by K P M Swamy, Director (Commercial), NBCC (India) Ltd, and Maustafa Saadi, Chief Executive Officer, Scirocco Enterprises Ltd.

By 2030, the dwelling units must be built.

As an EPC Agency, NBCC will offer its engineering services. In Mauritius, NBCC has successfully constructed social housing, and work is currently being done to build social housing in the Maldives.
