Sterling Unveils Premium Retreat Near Lansdowne at Vanvasa Resort

Sterling Holiday Resorts has launched Sterling Vanvasa, its latest premium hideaway located near Lansdowne, Uttarakhand. Set amidst 30 acres of forested hillside, this offbeat destination is designed for travellers seeking tranquillity, nature, and a break from urban stress. It marks Sterling’s eighth resort in the state, strengthening its position in curating India’s most serene holiday escapes.

Situated beyond Juee village at an altitude of over 3,200 feet, the retreat offers panoramic views of the Garhwal Himalayas, lush pine and sal forests, and the distant Ramganga river. Far from tourist traffic, the resort encourages guests to unwind in peace, with no televisions in rooms to promote mindful relaxation.

The property comprises 33 colonial-style cottages and family suites, each featuring private sit-outs and wood-accented interiors, strategically oriented to maximise valley and forest views.

The on-site restaurant, Aranya, serves multicuisine fare along with local Garhwali dishes crafted from herbs and vegetables grown in the resort’s gardens. Additional amenities include a hill-facing pool, meditation zones, and a venue for intimate events and corporate retreats.

“Sterling Vanvasa is another example of how we specialise in crafting offbeat destinations for discerning travellers,” said Vikram Lalvani, MD & CEO, Sterling Holiday Resorts. “Vanvasa is a natural extension of our promise — peaceful, panoramic, and profoundly rejuvenating.”

Satendra Rawat, Proprietor, Vanvasa Hotels & Resorts, added, “Sterling’s experience in operating upscale resorts in lesser-known gems made them the right partner for Vanvasa. This retreat blends refined comfort with nature’s raw beauty.”

Sterling Vanvasa offers curated experiences such as sunrise yoga, birdwatching, forest dining, and stargazing. Guests can enjoy guided nature walks, wildlife briefings, and unhurried meals, making it a year-round escape for those seeking quiet luxury.

With this launch, Sterling Holiday Resorts reaffirms its commitment to redefining Indian travel—offering curated calm over crowded itineraries.
