UP CM introduces 284 Development Projects In Prayagraj

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched 284 development projects in Prayagraj, ushering in a new era of development. The projects are estimated to be worth Rs 12.95 billion.

Yogi Adityanath said, while launching the projects and addressing the 'Prabhudhjan Sammelan, “Our zero-tolerance against crime has made the dreaded mafias run for life. Now, no one is becoming a hurdle in terms of development or illegally encroaching on the land of the poor. Today, houses are being built for the poor in Prayagraj on land freed from the illegal occupation of the mafia.”

The Chief Minister reaffirmed the government's commitment to the development of Sangam city by inaugurating 35 projects worth Rs 3.25 billion and laying the foundation stone for 249 projects worth Rs 9.69 billion.

  • Domestic sewer home connection scheme in Sewerage District-G and E Part-2 of Municipal Corporation Prayagraj (cost Rs 564.3 million)
  • Regional Forensic Science Laboratory, Phaphamau (Cost Rs. 410.9 million)
  • District Prison, Naini (Cost Rs. 1.73 billion) Government Inter College, Koraon (Cost Rs. 27.7 million)
  • Driving Training Institute at Government Industrial Training Centre, Naini (Cost Rs. 63.8 million)
  • Government Industrial Training Institute, Soraon (cost Rs. 72.1 million)
  • Additional women's hostel in the campus of Medical College, Prayagraj (cost Rs. 21.9 million)
  • Veterinary Polyclinic, Kanti. (Cost Rs 64.9 million)
  • District Sainik Welfare and Rehabilitation Office, Prayagraj. (Cost Rs 28.8 million)
  • Residential building ATS in village Khaipar under Social Welfare Department (cost Rs. 27.7 million)
  • Mini Stadium at Village Rera (Cost Rs. 49.3 million)
  • 04 piped drinking water schemes of Jal Nigam (Rural) (Total cost Rs 96.5 million)
  • 15 projects of CC road, interlocking, drain construction of Rural Engineering Department (total cost Rs. 23.7 million)
  • 05 link road projects of Public Works Department (total cost Rs 76.6 million)
  • *Projects whose foundation stone was laid*

  • 243 piped drinking water schemes of Jal Nigam (Rural). (Total cost Rs 8.82 billion)
  • Rail level crossing near Jagatpur on the Prayagraj-Varanasi route with 4-lane Rail Over Bridge on No. 60 Special. (Cost Rs 666.8 million)
  • 04 projects of Public Works Department's link road (total cost Rs. 118.9 million)
  • Government Unani Medical College and Hospital, Construction of houses for staff in Prayagraj (cost Rs. 88.3 million)
  • Yogi also discussed the upcoming Prayagraj Kumbh in 2025. According to the CM, the 'Bhavya-Divya Kumbh' was held in 2019 at the holy Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj district. The completion of such a large fair with safety and cleanliness was a record in and of itself. The event had established cleanliness, safety, and security standards. This event became a shining example of the government's leadership and public management abilities. Prayagraj is currently preparing for the Kumbh Mela in 2025. “Advanced and modern urban facilities are being made available in Prayagraj under the Smart City Scheme. Prayagraj is excelling in the scale of 'Ease of Living',” added Yogi. Many dignitaries, including Deputy Chief Minister and Cabinet Minister Nand Gopal Nandi, spoke at the conference.
