Bentley Systems Names Finalists for YII Awards 2026

Bentley Systems has announced the finalists for its 2026 Year in Infrastructure (YII) Awards, recognising infrastructure professionals using digital technologies to improve project design, delivery and operations.

The 36 finalists were selected from more than 300 submissions representing 53 countries across 12 infrastructure categories.

According to Bentley Systems, 24 of the finalist projects reported using artificial intelligence in some form, while 22 demonstrated strong or supporting evidence of a connected digital foundation.

“This year’s finalists show how infrastructure is moving from disconnected files, manual workflows and periodic inspections to connected information, intelligent automation and continuous insight,” said Cate Lochead, Chief Marketing Officer, Bentley Systems.

The finalist projects span bridges and tunnels, cities and facilities, construction, energy production, geospatial and reality modelling, project delivery, rail and transit, roads and highways, structural engineering, subsurface modelling, transmission and distribution, and water and wastewater.

Indian organisations feature across several categories. Pinnacle Future Build Pvt. Ltd. has been shortlisted in the Cities and Facilities category for its Madurai campus digital twin project.

NMA - Nikhil Mahashur and Associates has been named a finalist in Rail and Transit for the Hajimalang Gad funicular rail project, which focuses on engineering access through challenging terrain.

Haskoning India Consulting Pvt Ltd. is a finalist in the Water and Wastewater category for the Delhi stormwater drainage masterplan. NV5, India has also been shortlisted in Transmission and Distribution for a utility infrastructure protection project covering 17,600 miles of grid.

Other finalist projects include the Praha–Beroun Tunnel in the Czech Republic, Hinkley Point C in the UK, Jakarta International Stadium in Indonesia, Changi Airport Terminal 5 in Singapore and the Semarang-Demak Toll Road in Indonesia.

Bentley said the projects demonstrate growing use of AI, digital twins, analytics and connected data to improve infrastructure planning, construction and asset operations.

The finalists will present their projects at Bentley’s Year in Infrastructure event at Fairmont Singapore on 6-7 October 2026. The event will also include Bentley’s Founders’ Honors, recognising selected infrastructure projects chosen by the company’s founders and executives.
