Bentley Innovation Day Highlights Digital Infrastructure in India

Bentley Systems hosted Bentley Innovation Day in Ahmedabad, bringing together infrastructure leaders, engineers, consultants, contractors and technology experts to discuss how digital engineering, artificial intelligence and connected data are transforming infrastructure development in India.

The event featured keynote presentations, customer case studies and technical sessions focused on accelerating digital transformation across the infrastructure lifecycle. Discussions covered integrated digital workflows, reality modelling, AI-assisted engineering and infrastructure digital twins to improve collaboration, productivity and decision-making.

With Gujarat continuing to invest in transportation, urban development, water, energy and industrial corridors, the event highlighted the role of digital engineering technologies in improving project delivery, asset performance and infrastructure resilience.

Kamalakannan Thiruvadi, Regional Executive – South Asia, Bentley Systems, said India's infrastructure ambitions increasingly require connected, intelligent and data-driven engineering. He added that projects across Gujarat are among the frontrunners in adopting such technologies.

The conference included dedicated sessions covering transportation, water, structural and geotechnical engineering, and energy infrastructure. The discussions demonstrated how integrated digital workflows can support better project outcomes throughout the asset lifecycle.

Industry perspectives were shared by Mohan Babu S, Head – Digital Transformation, L&T Construction; Jackson Christian, CEO, Anvaya Construction; Dr Jaykumar Shukla, Principal Engineer & Director, Geo Dynamics; and Sumit Kumar, Deputy General Manager – Projects, Advait. They joined Bentley experts to discuss the role of digital engineering in advancing infrastructure delivery across India.

Bentley Innovation Day Ahmedabad marked the first event in the company's Innovation Day series in India. Further editions are planned in Kolkata and Delhi, bringing together infrastructure stakeholders to exchange best practices and explore developments in digital infrastructure engineering.
