TUFIDC to execute various projects worth 3,809 crore

The Telangana Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (TUFIDC), a wing of the Municipal Administration and Urban Development Department (MAUD) is executing various projects with 3,809 crore assistance.

TUFIDC has the primary role of serving as the channelising agency for the execution of infrastructure development schemes financed by both the Central and State governments in Urban Local Bodies (ULBs).

The TUFIDC said to assist ULBs in taking up infrastructure projects, loans worth 3,219 crores have been given to 117 ULBs so far.

These loans include 72.68 crores for the Siddipet underground drainage project, where 90% of the work has been finished, the Sircilla drinking water supply project of 75.76 crores, 160.05 crores for the Nizamabad Sewerage project, and 81.41 crores for Suryapet drainage scheme where 71% of the work has been finished.

In addition to these, loans worth 50 crores have been approved for setting up Faecal Sludge Treatment Plants.
