86 Projects Worth Rs 3.14 Billion Under Construction Post IKGS

A total of 86 projects, with combined investments of Rs 3.14 billion, which received Expressions of Interest (EOIs) at the Invest Kerala Global Summit (IKGS) held in Kochi last February, have commenced construction, said P Rajeeve, Kerala’s Minister for Industries, Law and Coir.
“The IKGS attracted 424 investment projects worth Rs 17.77 billion. Of these, over 20 per cent have already begun construction,” the minister noted. Upon completion, these 86 projects are expected to generate approximately 40,439 jobs. While 268 projects have secured land, 156 are still awaiting land allotment.
Rajeeve added that in July, projects valued at Rs 151 million will start construction, followed by Rs 144 million worth of projects beginning in August. Across all eight KINFRA parks, investment projects totalling Rs 101 million have been initiated.
Key projects set to launch in July include BlueStar Realtors’ Rs 60 million development in Kalamassery, Ernakulam; Canyo Health’s Rs 40 million venture in Cherppulassery, Palakkad; and Kaynes Technology India’s Rs 50 million facility in Perumbavoor, Ernakulam. These are expected to create about 3,800 employment opportunities.
Projects slated for August commencement include Green Worms Waste Management (Rs 12 million) at KSIDC Park, Kannur; Renai Medicity (Rs 50 million) in Thrissur; Nitta Gelatin’s manufacturing plant (Rs 25 million) in Ernakulam; Rajeev Healthcare and Research (Rs 12 million) in Kollam; Indiana Hospital (Rs 20 million) in Kannur; and NDR Space (Rs 25 million) in Aluva, Ernakulam. These projects aim to generate roughly 3,350 jobs.
Among the major initiatives starting in July, the foundation stone will be laid for Bharat Biotech’s new project at KSIDC Park, Angamali. Additionally, Adani Logistics plans to establish a logistics park in Kalamassery, with an investment of Rs 60 million.
