Board of Vuda to discuss grievances of land owners

The board of the Visakhapatnam Urban Development Authority (Vuda) would soon discuss the issues raised by land owners and farmers on the land pooling project taken up at Paradesipalem by the authority.

At a forthcoming meeting, the authority would discuss the requests of a few land owners to withdraw from the project and their demand of return of lands.

Top officials of Vuda conducted a meeting with farmers and land owners at its office to know their grievances and suggestions on the land pooling project.

According to the agreement, Vuda would allot plotted areas to land owners in place of the land they handed over to the authority. Further, pending registrations of those who have already received allotments will be completed, top official of Vuda said.

Officials of Vuda are asked to collect complete details from the land owners and also confirmation letters from those who want to withdraw from the scheme.

According to the agreement, Vuda promised to construct all infrastructure like road, water supply in the area.

But the authority would lay underground drainage only after settlement starts in the layout because it could be damaged owing to non-utilisation if laid early.
