<span style="font-weight: bold;">The platform that reins supreme and transcended all levels of intellectual business reflections all under one roof...</span><br /> <br /> The 2nd edition of India's premier exhibition on construction and infrastructure industry -WorldBuild India - concluded on a high note. Held at the Bombay Exhibition Centre from April 19-21, 2018, the expo brought together some of the finest global brands, government bodies, engineers, construction companies, developers, architects, and designers, under one platform to display building materials, construction and engineering, which enabled the visitors to source products, technology and services pragmatically.<br /> <br /> <span style="font-weight: bold;">The event</span><br /> Spread across an expansive area of over 3,000 sq m, the exposition showcased about 1,259+ products, exhibited by over 125 exhibitors.&nbsp; Over 12,504 business visitors walked in and perused through the innovative products and services displayed at the stands. The event was graced by the presence of eminent names from the building material, construction, engineering, architecture and design fraternity. The boutique exhibition was inaugurated by renowned industry personalities such as Kamal Hadkar, Paulomi Shah to name a few.<br /> <br /> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Key highlight</span><br /> The event's key highlight was the newly introduced initiative, 'Bridge It'. This successful allied event served as a networking platform for buyers and vendors, wherein direct meetings took place between purchase managers and senior personnel of leading construction and infrastructure firms on one hand and exhibitors on the other.<br /> <br /> 'Bridge It' was conceptualised as a unique platform in order to facilitate interaction, exchange of ideas and business networking between service providers and end-users. The platform proved to be more than a networking forum, wherein the world's regional and global businesses came in to obtain business intelligence and interact with corporate decision-makers to source their requirements with immediate order placement and on the spot fund exchange as well.<br /> <br /> Over 120 purchase teams from the building and construction industry were invited for 'Bridge It' in order to interact with exhibitors to generate business enquiries. Participants included eminent builders such as Lodha Group, Rustomjee Group, Tata Housing and Development, and many more, having one-to-one interactions and networking sessions with all exhibiting companies.<br /> <br /> <span style="font-weight: bold;">Lucrative deal</span><br /> Apart from this, World Build India organised the Builders Association of India convene, along with the Conference on Innovations in Structural Design and Construction curated by Dr Deepali Hadkar, Director, Sterling Engineering and Consultants.<br /> The three-day event proved to be a lucrative deal for the visitors and exhibitors, wherein the parties sourced new business opportunities and industry innovations that were unveiled at location. Konkan Railway Plans Ro-Ro Train Service to Transport Cars

The Konkan Railway (KR) is considering the possibility of introducing a special roll-on/roll-off (Ro-Ro) train service for car transportation during the upcoming Ganapati festival, provided there is sufficient public demand.
