Aurionpro Secures Additional Order From MMRDA

Aurionpro Solutions (Aurionpro) has secured an additional mandate from the Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) to supply its Automated Fare Collection (AFC) solution. The order is valued at Rs 500 mn and expands Aurionpro's existing engagement for Mumbai Metro Lines four and four A, announced last year. The contract extends deployment of the AFC system to six additional stations under Mumbai Metro Line five - Phase I. The work forms part of the firm's Transit and Smart Mobility segment.

The AFC system covers ticketing gates, back office clearing and integration with existing ticketing media to allow seamless passenger movement and revenue management. Aurionpro will deliver hardware and software components, support systems integration and provide maintenance services during the deployment phase. The solution is designed to accommodate contactless payments and interoperable ticketing across connected metro corridors.

The order represents an extension of the company's earlier contract on Mumbai Metro projects and will increase the scope of work assigned to the Transit and Smart Mobility division. Deployment at the additional stations will involve coordination with metro operations and third party vendors to align signalling, fare media and station equipment. Aurionpro will integrate its back office clearing house with MMRDA systems and extend support services to enable live operations once the installations are complete.

The firm announced the additional order following its earlier announcement for Lines four and four A and said the expanded deployment will enhance passenger experience through faster entry and more reliable fare processing. The contract value of Rs 500 mn has been recorded as part of the transit order book and will be executed under the existing project governance framework with MMRDA. Aurionpro will continue to provide project management, testing and commissioning until the stations are operational and integrated with the wider metro network.
