BASF Raises Acrylate Prices Across Asia-Pacific

BASF recently announced a price increase of up to $100 per metric ton for butyl acrylate (BA) and 2-ethylhexyl acrylate (2-EHA) across the Asia-Pacific region. The revised pricing takes effect immediately, or in accordance with existing contractual agreements.

The company stated that the adjustment is necessary to support long-term sustainable operations amid continued increases in logistics, energy and regulatory compliance costs. These factors have placed sustained pressure on the overall production and supply cost structure.

BA and 2-EHA serve as critical raw materials for a wide range of downstream sectors, including adhesives, architectural and industrial coatings, and construction materials. BASF reiterated its commitment to ensuring reliable supply while maintaining consistent quality and service standards for customers across the region.

The company’s Petrochemicals division forms the foundation of BASF’s global petrochemical value chains, supported by a competitive production network and advanced technologies across major chemical markets worldwide.
