Bluspring Subsidiary Secures Operations Contract For 1,215 MW Plant

Bluspring Enterprises Limited (Bluspring) has said that STEAG Energy Services (India) Private Limited (STEAG), a wholly-owned step-down subsidiary, has been awarded a contract to provide comprehensive operations and maintenance services for a captive power plant at Vedanta Aluminium Metal Limited (VAML). The plant comprises nine units of 135 Megawatt (MW) each, totalling 1,215 MW of capacity. The award was made by VAML, a domestic industrial entity, under terms disclosed to the stock exchanges. The engagement reflects the group strategy to expand asset operations services in the industrial power sector.

The contract is scheduled to run for a period of five years from first August 2026 and covers a broad scope of operations and additional services. The estimated aggregate contract value is Rs 14,371.7 mn, plus applicable taxes. The contract value figure includes additional services specified in the award document and sets a framework for service delivery over the term. The company has indicated that the arrangement will be administered by STEAG on behalf of the group.

The filing notes that the order has been awarded by a domestic entity and that neither the promoter nor the promoter group has any interest in VAML. The company has confirmed that the transaction does not constitute a related party transaction and that services will be provided at arm's length. Operational and maintenance responsibilities will include routine management, technical support and performance optimisation over the contract term.

The disclosure was made under regulation 30 of the listing obligations and disclosure requirements and provided to the stock exchanges for the record. The company secretary signed the submission on behalf of Bluspring and supplied regulatory annexures detailing the contract terms. The award is positioned as a material development for the group and will be reflected in future operational updates.
