Bondada Engineering Secures Rs. 11.54 bn Order for 270 MWp Project

Hyderabad-based Bondada Engineering has secured an engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) order worth Rs. 11.54 bn to develop a 270 MWp ground-mounted solar project at various locations in Maharashtra. The company said the project is scheduled for completion within six months of receiving the order.

The order strengthens Bondada Engineering’s renewable energy portfolio and expands its capabilities in executing large-scale solar EPC projects. The company is also pursuing opportunities in renewable energy, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and other emerging infrastructure segments, with a focus on project diversification and execution capacity.

Separately, Bondada Engineering’s subsidiary, Onix IPP, has received a Rs. 9.11 bn financing sanction from the State Bank of India for a 225 MW solar independent power producer (IPP) project. The facility includes Rs. 9 bn in term loan facilities and Rs. 112.5 mn in non-fund-based facilities.

The IPP project is supported by a 25-year power purchase agreement with Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company, providing a long-term revenue framework for the asset. The financing is expected to support Bondada Engineering’s expansion in the renewable energy IPP segment and its development of annuity-based assets.

In 2025, Bondada Engineering commissioned 78.3 MW of solar projects for NLC, Paradigm IT and Mahagenco across project clusters in Neyveli, Tamil Nadu, and Amaravati, Hingoli, Dhule and Pathardi in Maharashtra. During 2026, it also secured orders connected with projects of Adani Green Energy, Adani Ports & SEZ and Ambuja Cements.

One of these orders covers the supply of goods and onsite services for balance of system (BOS) components for a 75 MW solar project at Khavda in Kutch, Gujarat. The company also received an order worth Rs. 1.25 bn from three entities for related BOS supplies and onsite services at the same project.
