Cranex Receives Orders Worth Rs. 71.7 mn from BHEL and DEE VEE

Cranex has received a Letter of Award (LOA) and a purchase order (PO) aggregating Rs. 71.7 mn from Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) and DEE VEE Projects. The company announced the orders on 23 September 2026, saying they would strengthen its order book and support business growth. Execution will be undertaken according to the terms and conditions specified in the respective awards.

BHEL has awarded Cranex an LOA for a double-girder Electric Overhead Travelling (EOT) crane package for the 3X16 MW HPPCL Chanju Stage III Hydro Electric Project. The package, which includes a crane with a lifting capacity of up to 100 t, is valued at approximately Rs. 13.3 mn.

DEE VEE Projects has placed a PO for the supply, erection and commissioning of six material handling systems. The order covers cranes, hoists and yokes, along with mandatory spares, and is valued at approximately Rs. 58.4 mn. Cranex plans to focus on timely and efficient completion of the contracted work.

The company said the orders reflected customer confidence in its product offerings, manufacturing capabilities and execution record. It also highlighted the repeat business from existing customers as an endorsement of its quality standards and long-term customer relationships. The new awards are expected to support the company’s market expansion and business pipeline.

Established in 1973, Cranex manufactures EOT cranes, gantry cranes and material handling equipment for the power, railway, defence, infrastructure and heavy engineering sectors. With more than 53 years of industry experience, it is an approved vendor to organisations including BHEL, NTPC, NHPC, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, Indian Railways, Hindustan Aeronautics and Bharat Electronics. The company can manufacture cranes with lifting capacities of up to 200 t and has executed projects for public and private sector customers across India.
