Delhi: mobile registration vans for cons. workers

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Delhi is set to streamline the registration of construction workers by launching dedicated mobile registration vans, announced Delhi Labour Minister Raaj Kumar Anand. The initiative aims to facilitate the registration process for construction laborers, enabling them to access various government welfare schemes.
Following a meeting with department officials, Minister Anand stated, "The labour department will register the construction workers at all labor sites in Delhi using vans so that they can be enabled to take benefit of various welfare schemes of the government." This innovative approach will be a significant leap forward, ensuring that essential documents related to welfare schemes are delivered directly to a larger number of laborers.
Minister Anand further disclosed that a specialized skill development program tailored for construction workers in Delhi is on the horizon. He noted, "The plan is to commence it at the end of this month. This program will provide opportunities to laborers to improve their skills and open new employment avenues for them."
The introduction of mobile registration vans and the impending skill development program reflect the Delhi government's commitment to enhancing the welfare and prospects of construction workers in the region. These initiatives are poised to positively impact the lives of laborers by offering easier access to government benefits and opportunities for skill enhancement.
