DP World Signs Abhishek Sharma as New Global Brand Ambassador

DP World has signed rising cricket star Abhishek Sharma as its new global brand ambassador, marking a major addition to the company’s expanding portfolio of sporting partnerships. The announcement follows a standout year for Sharma, who set a new record at the 2025 DP World Asia Cup by scoring 314 runs in seven innings— the highest tally in a single T20I edition — earning him the Player of the Tournament award. His consistent form across formats has also taken him to No.1 in the ICC Men’s T20I Batter Rankings, achieving the highest rating ever recorded.

Under the long-term partnership, Sharma will feature in a range of brand and stakeholder engagements, including media appearances and digital content focused on DP World’s values of innovation and high performance.

DP World stated that Sharma’s fearless batting, talent and enthusiasm reflect the company’s purpose of “Changing What’s Possible.” The collaboration comes as DP World deepens its involvement in international cricket through existing partnerships with the ICC, the DP World Asia Cup, Delhi Capitals’ men’s and women’s teams, the DP World ILT20, and SA20.

Sharma, expressing enthusiasm for the association, noted that cricket has shaped his life and that he is proud to partner with a company committed to making the sport more accessible worldwide.

His first assignment with DP World took place during the “Diwali with the Stars” celebration at the inaugural DP World India Championship. The announcement is accompanied by a video featuring Sharma receiving a personalised shirt with appearances from Sachin Tendulkar and Tommy Fleetwood.

DP World’s broader cricket commitments include the Beyond Boundaries initiative launched in 2023, which aims to grow grassroots cricket globally. The programme has delivered twelve repurposed shipping containers and 3,000 cricket kits to community clubs, supported by a kits-for-runs pledge that donates ten kits for every 100 runs scored in ICC tournaments.
