Egyptian Firms Strengthen Global Links At Big 5 Global

Egyptian companies are deepening their participation at Big 5 Global as the event continues to strengthen resilient supply chains supporting construction and infrastructure growth. This year’s edition features exhibitors from more than 65 countries, with 70 per cent of showcased solutions coming from international providers, linking Egypt’s construction ecosystem to global manufacturers and technology leaders.

Over 2,800 exhibitors are presenting low-carbon technologies, modular construction systems, energy-efficient solutions and prefabrication methods aimed at reducing waste and improving resource efficiency. Urbanisation across the Middle East, Africa and South Asia is accelerating at unprecedented speed, with the United Nations projecting that nearly 68 per cent of the world’s population will live in cities by 2050. For developing nations such as Egypt, this growth is driving major urban development, including fourth-generation cities, sustainable infrastructure and housing to support economic expansion.

Big 5 Global, with participants from more than 165 countries, has become a key platform for exploring technologies that enhance construction supply chains, improve project efficiency and advance sustainability. “Egypt continues to expand its construction, infrastructure and urban development ambitions, and Big 5 Global offers a strong platform for local and international stakeholders to explore solutions and enhance delivery,” said Ahmed Abdel Fattah, Executive Director of the Export Council for Building Materials, Refractory & Metallurgy Industries.

Strengthening Global Supply Chains The event brings together thousands of suppliers showcasing more than 60,000 products and solutions. Germany and Italy return with high-performance materials, while India expands its presence with advanced MEP and smart-construction technologies for large-scale regional projects. Austria and Pakistan present export-ready innovations in modular construction, interiors and MEP systems. Additional exhibitors from Armenia, Croatia, Hungary, Jersey, New Zealand, Norway and Serbia further widen sourcing opportunities for buyers seeking diversified supply routes.

Technology Transforming Project Delivery Digital Construction World highlights how digital tools are reshaping procurement and project execution. Exhibitors such as Autodesk, Nemetschek Group, Odoo, Premier Construction Software, Procore Technologies, RIB Software and Trimble demonstrate solutions that enhance visibility, efficiency and cost control. Trimble's automation tools can cut site rework by up to 25 per cent, while Odoo integrates procurement, HR and operations into a unified platform. Meter Technology showcases its fully integrated digital surveying and engineering system capable of completing complex projects within 48 hours.

“Meter transforms engineering from traditional to tech-driven, eliminating decades-old inefficiencies,” said Eng. Ahmed Al-Ansary, Chairman, Founder and CEO of Meter Technology.

Sustainable Manufacturing And Smarter Material Supply International exhibitors are placing greater emphasis on low-carbon materials and circular processes. China’s Eco-Friendly Zone, constructed entirely from recyclable materials, showcases sustainable solutions for low-carbon construction.

Grundfos Gulf Distribution leads with water- and energy-efficient pumping systems, while Deewan Equipment Trading introduces modular and precast manufacturing plants designed to cut onsite waste. Hitech Concrete Products offers insulated wall systems and hollow-core slabs that reduce raw-material use and improve thermal efficiency. GF (Georg Fischer) returns with sustainable MEP systems and building-flow solutions tailored for efficient, environmentally responsible construction.

“GF is uniquely positioned to support the region’s development programmes with sustainable water-management solutions and long-standing regional partnerships,” said Michael Rauterkus, President of GF Building Flow Solutions.

These innovations reflect how global cooperation is helping Middle Eastern markets advance smart-city ambitions and net-zero targets. “Big 5 Global continues to strengthen supply chains and support sustainable growth across the built environment,” said Josine Heijmans, Vice-President, dmg events.

Big 5 Global is supported by major regional and international partners, including the Ministry of Energy & Infrastructure, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality, Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Riyadh Region Municipality, Meter Technology, Schüco, Alumil, the Italian Trade Agency, AGSI, Dubai Investments Park, Daikin, Hisense, TCL, Gulf-O-Flex, the DAC Group, DeWalt, Nassar Stone and the Nemetschek Group.
