ESR buys a 27-acre industrial, logistic park in Chennai

ESR Group announced that it had acquired an additional 27 acres of land to expand its existing industrial and logistics park at Oragadam in Chennai. The enlarged area of ESR Oragadam Industrial and Logistics Park now spans 107 acres, with a development potential of 2.5 million sq ft.

According to a statement, the company stated that the additional $33 million investment demonstrated ESR's commitment to enhancing Tamil Nadu's industrial landscape. ESR Oragadam Industrial & Logistics Park, strategically situated in the heart of the Oragadam-Sriperumbudur cluster, which has seen strong growth in demand for Grade A assets, was highlighted.

This latest expansion was a continuation of the success of ESR Oragadam's initial two phases, which attracted a number of high-quality clients, including electromechanical solutions provider CUBIC, automotive research and development firm A2Mac1, and specialty labelling company CCL. CEO Abhijit Malkani of ESR India stated that ESR's expansion in Oragadam is actually a Grade A industrial building.
