Green GSM to Deploy VinFast EVs in Philippines

Green GSM has signed memoranda of understanding and deposit agreements with 75 transport companies and cooperatives in the Philippines to support the planned deployment of up to 18,497 VinFast electric vehicles.

The vehicles will be used for passenger transport operations across cities and provinces including Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Cagayan de Oro, Cavite, Pampanga, Bacolod, Batangas, Baguio and Ozamiz.

The planned fleet will include VinFast VF 5, Herio Green and Limo Green models, deployed through a mix of direct investment and long-term leasing arrangements. The initiative follows Green GSM’s earlier collaboration with Xentro Group for the deployment of 2,500 vehicles.

Green GSM said the partnership-led model combines its electric mobility platform and standardised operating systems with locally managed fleet operations and driver networks. The approach is aimed at ensuring consistent service standards while adapting to local market conditions.

Company and partner representatives said the initiative will help modernise transport fleets, improve operational efficiency and support the wider transition to cleaner urban mobility in the Philippines and Southeast Asia.

Following the signing, partners are expected to complete vehicle orders and begin phased operations through 2026.
