Hero MotoCorp Dispatches 5.08 Lakh Units in May

Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, recorded dispatches of 508,000 two-wheelers in May 2025, marking both sequential and year-on-year growth. The month also saw 500,000 VAHAN registrations, excluding Telangana, highlighting continued strong customer demand.

The company reported rising retail market share, supported by robust performance of its latest motorcycle and scooter models. VIDA, its electric vehicle division, achieved dispatches of 8,361 units and registered 7,161 VIDA V2 scooters under VAHAN, capturing a 7.2 per cent share in the electric two-wheeler market. A new VIDA product is slated for launch on 1 July 2025.

Hero MotoCorp also noted solid international performance, especially in Bangladesh and Colombia, with exports maintaining steady momentum. In the premium segment, the company expanded its Premia retail network to over 100 outlets nationwide.

As part of its IPL campaign, VIDA promoted the convenience of its removable battery technology under the tagline “Every plug point is a VIDA charging point”, emphasising ease of access via standard 5-amp sockets.

In motorsport, Hero MotoSports strengthened its team with the inclusion of Austrian rider Tobias Ebster. At the South African Safari Rally, Ignacio Cornejo secured 6th place, while FIM world champion Ross Branch finished 11th despite a fall, showcasing the team’s resilience and competitive edge.
