The Chief Minister also launched a Government Ayurvedic Hospital built at a cost of Rs2.79 crore, the newly completed Chunjar-Katlah, Shalan, Melthi-Kupri water supply scheme costing Rs3.92 crore, and a drinking water project for the rural area of Rohru at an expense of Rs 5.03 crore.

The foundation for a new hostel at Seema College, Rohru, with an estimated cost of Rs8.25 crore, was also laid. While addressing the annual function at Government College Seema, Rohru, Sukhu announced that the college would be renamed after former Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh. He also revealed that a B.Ed. course would begin in the next academic session and pledged financial support for the construction of the hostel. He further announced plans for a multipurpose building for the college.

Sukhu criticized the previous BJP government, accusing them of opening 900 educational and health institutions without adequate budget allocations, seeking electoral gains, which harmed the quality of education. He assured that the current government is making tough decisions in the public's best interest, with positive outcomes expected. He also announced the introduction of new vocational courses to provide quality education and better employment opportunities for students.

Encouraging students, the Chief Minister stressed that success comes through hard work and dedication. He also recognized students excelling in various fields and administered an oath to encourage them to stay away from drugs. Education Minister Rohit Thakur emphasized the state government's efforts to strengthen education, noting that 15,000 posts across various categories have been approved to ensure quality education. He also pointed out that, unlike the previous BJP government, the current administration has facilitated both promotions and new recruitments.

Thakur also spoke about efforts to support apple orchardists and restore roads in Rohru's interior areas. He mentioned that road projects worth Rs1,134 crore were approved during the Congress government's tenure. MLA Mohan Lal Brakta welcomed the Chief Minister and thanked him for attending the event. The college students presented a colorful cultural program, for which the Chief Minister announced a reward of Rs 1 lakh. The event was attended by Vice President of Zila Parishad, Shimla, Surendra Retka, representatives of various Panchayati Raj institutions, MD HPMC Sudesh Mokhta, Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap, and other dignitaries.
