IHCL Expands Further in Uttarakhand

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL), India’s largest hospitality firm, has announced the signing of its 18th property in Uttarakhand. The new hotel will be located in Kausani, a scenic hill station in the Kumaon region, reinforcing IHCL’s strategic focus on expanding its footprint in leisure destinations. The upcoming hotel will be branded under the ‘Taj’ label and is expected to offer premium experiences for travelers seeking nature, tranquility, and luxury. The 50-room property will feature a restaurant, bar, spa, and other signature amenities aligned with the Taj hospitality ethos.

This addition marks another milestone in IHCL’s growth journey, particularly in northern India’s tourism-centric regions. With Uttarakhand emerging as a preferred destination for both domestic and international tourists, IHCL’s move supports the state’s hospitality infrastructure development. The company’s consistent expansion in the region also aligns with its broader vision of offering unique experiences across spiritual, wellness, and adventure tourism hotspots. Partnering with local stakeholders, IHCL continues to boost employment and sustainable development in remote hill areas. The hotel is scheduled to open by 2026 and will cater to upscale travelers while supporting Uttarakhand’s rising prominence on India’s tourism map.
