IHCL Signs Taj Cairo, Marks Egypt Entry

Tata Group hospitality arm Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL) on Monday announced the signing of a Taj hotel in Cairo, marking the iconic brand’s entry into Egypt as part of its international expansion strategy.

The 300-key Taj Cairo will be located at Opera Square, in the heart of the Egyptian capital. According to IHCL, the property will feature all-day dining and speciality restaurants, along with wellness facilities and dedicated banqueting spaces for corporate meetings and social gatherings, positioning it as a key hospitality destination in the city.

Commenting on the development, IHCL Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Puneet Chhatwal said that the debut of the Taj brand in Cairo aligns with the company’s international growth strategy of establishing a presence in major global gateway cities while extending the brand’s hallmark warm and sincere service to new markets.
