IIM-A Launches 6-Day DAKSH Leadership Programme

Marking a significant milestone in the DAKSH (Development of Aspiration, Knowledge, Succession & Harmony) leadership initiative, the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A) hosted the inaugural ceremony of a six-day classroom immersion programme on 14 July 2025.
The event was held in collaboration with the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), and attended by dignitaries including Shri Adil Zainulbhai, Chairman of CBC; Shri Atul Sobti, Director General of SCOPE; Prof. Bharat Bhaskar, Director of IIM-A; Dr. Alka Mittal, Member of CBC; Prof. Pradyumana Khokle, Chairperson of Executive Education at IIM-A; as well as senior officials from SCOPE, McKinsey & Company, and IIM-A faculty.
DAKSH is a flagship leadership development programme jointly designed by CBC and SCOPE. It combines classroom immersions, experiential learning, and reflective practices to develop agile, future-ready leaders within India’s public sector enterprises (PSEs).
The inaugural cohort comprises around 75 high-potential senior executives from various PSEs. The six-day session at IIM Ahmedabad provides intensive learning through faculty-led lectures, case studies, group discussions, and peer learning.
McKinsey & Company serves as the Knowledge Partner, while IIM Ahmedabad acts as the Academic Partner, ensuring participants gain exposure to globally recognised leadership models, contemporary management tools, and thought-provoking real-world case analyses.
This initiative reaffirms SCOPE’s dedication to nurturing visionary leadership within the public sector, equipping participants with forward-looking mindsets and transformative skills to drive innovation and impact in governance and enterprise.
