Juniper Commissions 100.64 MWh Bikaner BESS

Juniper Green Cosmic, a subsidiary of Juniper Green Energy, has commissioned 100.64 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) capacity under the Bikaner Phase II project in Rajasthan. The commissioning took place at the project site after the facility completed trial operations and received approval from the Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre.

The addition has increased the aggregate commissioned BESS capacity of Juniper Green Cosmic from 100.64 MWh to 201.28 MWh. It has also taken the aggregate operational capacity of Juniper Green Energy and its subsidiaries to approximately 2,725 MWp of renewable energy capacity and 600 MWh of BESS capacity.

Juniper Green Energy commissioned its first merchant BESS project in Bikaner in January 2026. The 100 MWh facility was fully commissioned through Juniper Green Cosmic and marked the company's initial operational merchant storage project.

The company has also started commissioning a firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project under the applicable FDRE guidelines. The project combines 259 MWp of solar capacity, 280 MW of wind capacity and a 200 MWh BESS spread across Rajasthan and Gujarat.

The solar component began commercial operations in March 2026, while the BESS started commercial operations in April 2026. The project was awarded through a tender floated by SJVN under its FDRE scheme. Juniper Green Energy entered into a 200 MW power purchase agreement with SJVN, which has a back-to-back power sale agreement with Haryana Power Purchase Centre for supplying electricity to the state.

They have a decision-latency problem. It takes about 8.7 hours to detect a disruption and more than 40 more to understand its impact, all before anyone acts. Meanwhile, disruption costs the global economy an estimated $184 billion a year.Enterprises already own excellent systems of record. What they lack is a system of action. Copilots don't fix that, they just give faster answers about a broken pro..
