KHADC Chief inaugurates civic facilities in Hima Mawphlang

Pyniaid Sing Syiem, the Chief Executive Member (CEM) of the Khasi Hills Autonomous District Council (KHADC), officially launched key civic amenities in ?ew Mawphlang under Hima Mawphlang. The inauguration included a waste collection truck, funded through the 15th Finance Commission's tied Grant for the year 2020-21. Lamphang Blah, Chairman of KHADC, and the local MDC of Mawphlang, along with CA Lyngdoh, the Lyngdoh of Hima Mawphlang, and other dignitaries, were present for the formal ceremony.

During the event, the Synjuk Hima Arliang Wahlang Umiam Welfare Society revealed and handed over an ambulance to Hima Mawphlang.

Addressing the audience, the KHADC chief underscored the crucial role these newly introduced facilities would play in serving the people of Hima Mawphlang. He drew attention to the authority granted to village leaders by the Solid Waste Management Act 2020, empowering them to impose penalties on individuals found littering or violating the Act.
