LANXESS India Honored with Three Prestigious Awards by Indian Chemical Council

LANXESS India has been recognised with three distinguished accolades by the Indian Chemical Council (ICC), underscoring the company’s unwavering commitment to safety, sustainability, and responsible business practices.

The company’s Jhagadia site was awarded the ICC – Vinati Organics Award for Excellence in Management of Health & Safety, highlighting its robust safety protocols and culture. In addition, LANXESS received two ICC – Epsilon Carbon Certificates of Merit under the Responsible Care program, recognizing its exemplary compliance with the Security Code and Product Safety & Stewardship Code.

These recognitions were presented during a ceremony held in Mumbai earlier this month. Deepankar Aron, IRS, Joint Secretary (Chemicals), Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India, presented the awards.

Receiving the award on behalf of LANXESS India were Namitesh Roy Choudhury, Vice Chairman and Managing Director, and Balaram Khot, Whole-time Director and Head of PTSE. The Certificates of Merit were accepted by Rajiv Gaur, Vice President – Head of Procurement & Logistics, and Naresh Mude, Head of Site Health, Safety, and Environment, Jhagadia.

Commenting on the recognition, Roy Choudhury said, “At LANXESS, safety and sustainability are fundamental to how we operate. These honors validate our rigorous approach to health, safety, and environmental stewardship across all facets of our business.
