Greenply Launches Ecotec Prime Plywood

Greenply Industries has launched Ecotec Prime, strengthening its economy plywood portfolio with a product designed to offer both fire and water protection. The plywood combines IS 5509 certified fire-retardant technology with Boiling Waterproof grade performance.

The company said the launch addresses a gap in the affordable plywood segment, where safety-led features have largely been limited to premium categories. Backed by a 20-year warranty, Ecotec Prime is positioned for homes, offices, commercial spaces, hospitals, hotels, malls and government projects.

Greenply said the product aims to make fire-retardant safety standards more accessible to everyday consumers, contractors and builders, while maintaining durability, strength and finish.

Rajesh Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director, Greenply Industries, said the launch reflects the company’s commitment to making quality and safety accessible across Indian households and commercial spaces. The product was unveiled at a national virtual launch attended by company leadership and over 100 dealers from across India.
