Madhya Pradesh Secures Rs 530 Billion in Investment Proposals

Rupee (Rs) 530 billion (bn) in investment proposals were received by Madhya Pradesh on the third day of Chief Minister Mohan Yadav's visit to the United Arab Emirates, with major interest in green energy, artificial intelligence, data centres and advanced manufacturing. The delegation held engagements in Dubai and Sharjah to promote projects and secure commitments from global investors. State officials said the proposals represent a significant pipeline for industrial expansion and technology infrastructure.

Rana Holdings Limited proposed a portfolio including a 2,000 MW solar energy project and a 200 MW green hydrogen plant, alongside an AI and compute data centre, a critical minerals recovery and recycling complex and a smart manufacturing hub. The compute facility was described as initially designed for 50 megawatt (MW) capacity, with potential expansion to 200 MW, while the minerals complex was cited at 30,000 tonne (t) per annum capacity. Combined investment potential for the Rana proposal was given at Rs 352 bn, equivalent to US dollar (USD) 4 bn.

NIDI Services DMCC and SCNELL outlined a proposal for an industrial scale AI compute campus and a Sovereign AI Factory, presenting a concept with investment of about USD 1.5 bn to USD 2 bn, roughly Rs 180 bn, for an initial 50 MW AI factory that could be expanded beyond 100 MW. Chief Minister Yadav met delegations from several UAE business groups to discuss opportunities in healthcare, logistics, education, gems and tourism. Officials said the engagements covered digital content and services as part of the state promotion effort.

During the visit the Madhya Pradesh Industrial Development Corporation was honoured with the Winner Asia accolade at the AIM Investment Awards 2026 in recognition of investment promotion, foreign direct investment attraction, employment generation, innovation and sustainable development. The chief minister conveyed that the state had received proposals totalling more than Rs 34 trillion (tn) over the past two-and-a-half years and that more than 30 per cent of projects had been implemented, while inviting investors to the Global Investors Summit 2027 in Bhopal.
