Mumbai One Crosses 10 Million Ticket Bookings, Links 11 Services

Mumbai One has crossed 10 million ticket bookings in around 10 months and now connects 11 public transport services across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The app has recorded 0.816 mn downloads since launch, with Android users accounting for 74 per cent of installs and iOS users 26 per cent. The platform aggregates travel options including Metro, suburban railway, Monorail and municipal bus networks to provide a single ticketing interface. The milestone reflects rapid commuter adoption of integrated digital mobility.

Metro services have emerged as the largest contributors to ticket transactions on Mumbai One, with Metro Lines two A, seven, two B and nine together recording 3,010,554 tickets. Metro Line one accounted for 2,847,682 tickets and Metro Line three for 2,430,370 tickets. Together these Metro services accounted for 8,288,606 tickets, representing nearly 80 per cent of all platform transactions.

The suburban railway network delivered 1,570,906 tickets through the app, while Navi Mumbai Metro Line one registered 338,718 tickets. The Brihanmumbai Electric Supply and Transport system recorded 153,323 bookings on Mumbai One, with other municipal bus services contributing smaller volumes. Thane Municipal Transport contributed 33,706 tickets, Navi Mumbai Municipal Transport 16,698, Mira Bhayandar Municipal Transport 7,553 and Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Transport 2,314.

The Maharashtra chief minister described the milestone as indicative of growing acceptance of unified digital ticketing and said integrating suburban railway, Metro and bus services on a single platform would help advance a vision of seamless connectivity across the MMR. The deputy chief minister and MMRDA chairman characterised the achievement as a strong endorsement from commuters and a validation of efforts to enable interoperable systems. The MMRDA metropolitan commissioner attributed the milestone to commuter uptake and said the authority would continue to refine the app to make it more seamless and commuter friendly. The platform is expected to play a larger role as new Metro corridors become operational and connectivity expands across Mumbai, Thane, Mira-Bhayander, Navi Mumbai and other parts of the MMR.
