N.A.N. GreenMet, Enaex form blasting solutions JV

N.A.N. GreenMet and Enaex S.A. have signed a joint venture agreement to develop a technology-led explosives business for India’s infrastructure, mining and quarrying sectors. The partnership aims to build advanced blasting capabilities for high-growth industrial and resource corridors across the country.

The joint venture will focus on emulsions, electronic detonators, rock fragmentation and precision blasting services. Its applications will cover infrastructure development, tunnelling, construction, limestone, quarrying, ferrous metals and non-ferrous metals.

N.A.N. GreenMet, founded by Navin Agarwal, Vice Chairman of Vedanta, is developing businesses across battery recycling, critical minerals, rare earth permanent magnets and precision blasting through global technology partnerships. The company is focused on building industrial capabilities linked to India’s clean energy and infrastructure growth.

Enaex, a subsidiary of the Sigdo Koppers Group, is a global provider of blasting solutions and services headquartered in the Americas. With a 105-year history, the company operates 20 production plants, 114 on-site service plants and 461 factory-built trucks, while exporting products to more than 40 countries across five continents.

The joint venture will combine Enaex’s proprietary technology, operating standards and safety systems with N.A.N. GreenMet’s understanding of the Indian industrial ecosystem, stakeholder landscape and execution capabilities. The companies said the partnership will support safer, more reliable and productivity-focused blasting solutions for India’s infrastructure and mining growth.
