Ola Electric receives ICAT's first PLI Automotive Certificate

Ola Electric Technologies Pvt. Ltd. has been honoured with the inaugural PLI Automotive Certificate by the International Centre for Automotive Technology (ICAT), Manesar. This recognition comes under the Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme of MHI for Automobiles and Auto Components.

Hanif Qureshi, Additional Secretary MHI, presented the certificate to S.J. Dhinagar, Head of Engineering & Sr. VP at Ola Electric, in the presence of Shri Saurabh Dalela, Director of ICAT, and senior officials from MHI, ICAT, and Ola Electric.

Ola Electric's Battery Electric Vehicle - 2W, specifically the Ola S1 Pro (Gen2), has successfully met the criteria of DVA of 50% (minimum) for the Automotive PLI certificate. This achievement underscores their dedication to advancing the indigenisation of sophisticated automotive technology products.

Receiving this certificate from ICAT underscores Ola Electric's commitment to the 'Make in Bharat' Abhiyan and reinforces its efforts to bolster the domestic production ecosystem, as highlighted in a media release.
