OM SYSTEM Launches OM-5 Mark II Camera and PRO Telephoto Lens in India

OM SYSTEM, building on Olympus’ 85-year heritage, has launched two new imaging products in India — the OM-5 Mark II interchangeable lens camera and the M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50-200mm F2.8 IS PRO lens. Designed for outdoor creators, the launch highlights India’s growing role as a strategic hub for the company’s Asia Pacific expansion.
Global imaging leader OM SYSTEM has announced the India launch of its OM-5 Mark II camera and M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50-200mm F2.8 IS PRO lens. Both products cater to wildlife, macro, birding, landscape, travel, and street photography enthusiasts, marking a major step in the brand’s renewed focus on the Indian market.
The OM-5 Mark II is a lightweight, weather-sealed interchangeable lens camera engineered for reliability in real-world outdoor conditions. With splash, dust, and freezeproof protection (IPX53, up to -10°C), it features upgrades such as advanced 5-axis image stabilisation and an improved grip for better ergonomics.
The M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 50-200mm F2.8 IS PRO lens offers a 100–400mm (35mm equivalent) focal range with a constant F2.8 aperture, setting new standards for telephoto performance. With 5-axis sync IS compatibility and up to 7.0 steps of compensation, it delivers exceptional handheld stability across the zoom range.
Reaffirming the company’s vision, Shigemi Sugimoto, CEO, OM Digital Solutions Corporation, said, “Our vision for India is to build a strong and enduring ecosystem — one that empowers photographers with cutting-edge technology, nurtures creativity, and strengthens our channel and dealer partnerships for long-term success.”
Vivek Handoo, Vice President – Head of APAC/Managing Director, OM SYSTEM, added, “The launch of the OM-5 Mark II and our new PRO long zoom lens marks a defining moment for OM SYSTEM in India. Together, they reinforce our leadership in outdoor imaging and open new avenues for growth in India’s rapidly expanding mirrorless camera segment.”
In line with fostering a photography culture, OM SYSTEM also announced its annual APAC Photography Competition, offering creators a chance to showcase their work globally. The contest will run annually from October to January, with results declared in March.
