Santosh Kumar Takhele Appointed Regional ED (West-I) at NTPC

Santosh Kumar Takhele has taken over the additional charge of Regional Executive Director (West-I) at NTPC, effective from 30th June 2025.

An alumnus of GB Pant University of Agriculture and Technology with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Takhele began his career at NTPC in 1988 as an Executive Trainee. With 37 years of experience, he has held leadership positions across various key functions including Contracts & Materials, Mechanical Maintenance, Operations Services, Fuel Management, Environment Management, and Safety.

Throughout his career, he has worked at several NTPC locations such as Singrauli, WR-I HQ, Kanti, Farakka, and the Corporate Centre – EOC, where he made notable contributions in each posting.

He is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ratnagiri Gas and Power (RGPPL) and will continue in this role alongside his new responsibilities. His vast experience and leadership capabilities are expected to bolster NTPC’s operations in the Western Region-I and enhance performance across the region.
