Sterlite Technologies Subsidiary Secures USD 1.2 bn Supply Agreement

A wholly owned subsidiary of Sterlite Technologies has received a long-term supply agreement from an unnamed international hyperscale partner for optical connectivity products. The potential value of the agreement over its tenure is estimated at USD 1.2 bn, based on prevailing selling prices for the products to be supplied.

Under the agreement, the subsidiary will allocate optical connectivity products for supply in each calendar year from CY26 through CY30. The products will be manufactured or supplied according to the customer’s specifications, while purchase orders will be issued periodically throughout the contract period.

The agreement is scheduled to run until December 2030. It also establishes a reciprocal risk-sharing framework under which both parties will have mutually agreed and capped financial liabilities in the event of demand shortfalls, supply-capacity constraints or related failures.

Sterlite Technologies said the order was awarded by an international entity and did not involve any interest from its promoter, promoter group or group companies in the awarding entity. The company also stated that the arrangement would not constitute a related party transaction.

The company disclosed the agreement under Regulation 30 of the Securities and Exchange Board of India’s Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations. The filing was made with the stock exchanges on October 1, 2026, and included details on the agreement’s nature, execution period, commercial value and related-party status.
