Syensqo Expands Non-Fluorosurfactant FFKM Portfolio

Syensqo, a global leader in advanced performance materials and chemical solutions, has expanded its pioneering Non-Fluorosurfactant (NFS) perfluoroelastomer (FFKM) portfolio with new high-temperature grades. Engineered for extreme environments, these materials deliver exceptional sealing performance while supporting the industry’s shift toward more sustainable solutions.

Syensqo’s latest NFS FFKM grades operate continuously at temperatures up to 320°C, exceeding the capabilities of conventional FFKMs. The newly developed curatives ensure unmatched purity and reliability at high temperatures, eliminating the need for particle-causing fillers.

Designed for high-purity, high-temperature vacuum applications, the new grades demonstrate excellent resistance to fluorine, oxygen, and hydrogen plasmas. Their low stiction and high reliability make them ideal for gate and isolation valve applications, helping customers reduce maintenance and downtime.

Andrew Lau, Senior Executive Vice President of Electronics & Industrial at Syensqo Specialty Polymers GBU, said, “The introduction of our high-temperature NFS FFKM resin represents our biggest technical leap in elastomers in nearly a decade. By enabling higher-temperature processes and reducing downtime for existing processes, Syensqo continues to deliver innovation and value, while advancing sustainability.”

Manufactured in Spinetta, Italy, the expanded portfolio includes:
  • Tecnoflon® PFR X6965M – first high-temperature product, available for sampling
  • Nitrile curable grades: PFR X6055B, X6160B, X6265B – commercially available and in use in the semiconductor industry
  • Peroxide curable grades: PFR X7000, X7100 – available for trial
This expansion underscores Syensqo’s commitment to high-performance materials that combine technical excellence with environmental responsibility.
