Tata Elxsi, Suzuki Open Cloud HIL Centre in Trivandrum

Tata Elxsi, a global leader in design and technology services, and Suzuki Motor Corporation, the Japanese mobility manufacturer, have inaugurated the SUZUKI–TATA ELXSI Cloud HIL Centre in Trivandrum. This facility is Suzuki’s first full-vehicle cloud-enabled Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) validation centre and the second engineering centre under the Tata Elxsi–Suzuki partnership, following the Offshore Development Centre (ODC) in Pune.
The Cloud HIL Centre has been purpose-built for early-stage, full-vehicle simulation and validation through a cloud-native infrastructure. It allows Suzuki’s development and testing teams to remotely access HIL infrastructure integrated with Electronic Control Units (ECUs), reducing dependence on physical prototypes and accelerating validation cycles across global R&D centres.

This initiative supports Suzuki’s roadmap for software-defined vehicles (SDVs), reinforcing its shift to software-led, scalable development. Leveraging Tata Elxsi’s expertise in automotive verification and validation, test automation, and simulation, the centre aims to deliver faster release cycles, higher quality, and future-ready engineering capabilities.
As part of Suzuki’s global SDV Right strategy for Electrical and Electronic (E/E) virtual development, the new centre will play a pivotal role in ensuring continuous integration, reliability, and efficiency.
Katsuhiro Kato, Director and Executive Vice President of Suzuki, said:
“The SUZUKI–TATA ELXSI Cloud HIL Centre is a new base that leverages Tata Elxsi’s expertise to build an advanced and efficient development system. We expect this will help promote virtualisation, reduce energy usage, and contribute significantly to next-generation mobility.”
Manoj Raghavan, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Elxsi, added:
“This new Cloud HIL Centre builds on the foundation of our Pune ODC and marks a forward leap in our SDV-focused collaboration. It reflects our shared vision for sustainable and smarter mobility.”
The centre will evolve alongside next-generation vehicle architectures, providing a modular and future-ready foundation for agile integration, system continuity, and long-term value creation. It further strengthens Tata Elxsi’s localisation of global vehicle programmes through engineering excellence and sustained collaboration.
