Tata Projects Wins Rs. 6.7 bn RMZ Infinity Contract in Chennai

Tata Projects has secured a Rs. 6.7 bn contract from real estate platform RMZ for the main civil works of RMZ Infinity, a commercial development in Porur, Chennai. The project is located on Mount Poonamallee Road and is intended to serve the city’s expanding office market.

Under the contract, Tata Projects will undertake the complete core and shell construction package. The scope covers civil, structural and architectural works, along with masonry, plastering, waterproofing, basement flooring, common-area finishes, fire-rated doors and external finishes.

RMZ Infinity is being developed across 16.4 acres and will comprise four commercial towers. The development will have a total built-up area of about 3.54 mn sq ft and approximately 2.94 mn sq ft of leasable space, making it one of the larger office projects in the Porur area.

The project is primarily aimed at Global Capability Centres (GCCs). It has received pre-certification under the US Green Building Council’s (USGBC) LEED Gold programme and is also pursuing WELL Gold certification, signalling a focus on environmental performance and workplace standards.

The award adds a major office development to Tata Projects’ commercial construction portfolio and strengthens its presence in Chennai’s business real estate segment. RMZ Infinity will require the coordinated delivery of structural, architectural and finishing works across the towers, basements and shared facilities. The project’s location along Mount Poonamallee Road places it within one of the key commercial growth corridors in western Chennai, while its GCC-oriented design aligns with demand for large, modern workplaces. The contract also expands Tata Projects’ involvement in large-scale commercial developments, covering the construction package from core structural works through external and common-area finishes.
