Tejveer Singh Assumes Charge as Secretary of DCPC

Prior to his new assignment, Tejveer Singh served as Additional Chief Secretary in the Department of Technical Education and Industrial Training in the Government of Punjab, where he was responsible for overseeing technical education and vocational training initiatives. Tejveer Singh is a 1994-batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Punjab Cadre and has held an extensive range of administrative appointments during his career. His previous positions have included Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister and Secretary to the Chief Minister, as well as serving as District Magistrate in multiple districts, roles that provided exposure to governance, implementation of government schemes and stakeholder engagement. That background was described as equipping him with experience in administration, intergovernmental coordination and policy implementation.

Smt. Nivedita Shukla Verma has been appointed Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances and will also hold additional charge of the Secretary of the Department of Pensions and Pensioners' Welfare, indicating a reallocation of senior leadership across ministries. The transitions are expected to preserve institutional knowledge while enabling the new appointees to pursue priorities related to sectoral reform, administrative efficiency and the welfare of stakeholders. The ministry affirmed its commitment to continuity and to supporting the new secretary during the initial phase of his charge.
