The Postcard Hotel redefines luxury, unveils India's priciest stay

The luxury hospitality chain, The Postcard Hotel, is set to make waves in the industry with the launch of India's most extravagant hotel next year in Ranthambore, Rajasthan. The founder and CEO, Kapil Chopra, revealed that the opening price for a room per night would be Rs 1.95 lakh, excluding taxes. Chopra shared exciting plans for the chain's expansion, including the introduction of seven new hotels in various locations such as Tirupati, Goa, Mashobra, Kanha Tiger Reserve, and the Himalayas.

Chopra expressed the company's financial stability, stating, "We are profitable at a company level, and we have institutional funds working with us. I believe we are shaping the future of global hospitality from India." He emphasised the impressive growth, indicating that the company's assets under management had surged from Rs 15.63 billion to Rs 26.72 billion this year. Their goal is to reach $1 billion worth of assets under management within the next three years, solidifying their position as a significant global player in the industry.

Architect Luca Franco, the CEO of Luxury Frontiers renowned for designing resorts, will make his debut in India with the Ranthambore hotel. This luxurious retreat nestled near the national park famous for its tiger population and safaris will feature spacious rooms of approximately 1,950 square feet, each equipped with a private heated pool.

Chopra also unveiled an ambitious plan to open a new Postcard hotel every quarter for the next seven years. He explained, "We aim to provide fresh options for our customers, ensuring that there is a new opening for guests to explore every quarter. Our vision is to establish The Postcard Hotel as the world's leading luxury hotel company."

Additionally, the company is gearing up to open Assam's first luxury hotel in a tea estate in December, thanks to a Rs 20 million subsidy and reduced interest loans provided by the government to the owners of Durrung Tea Estate. Chopra highlighted the scarcity of luxury accommodations in Tirupati, a bustling tourist destination, where the Postcard Hotel plans to introduce its first property. He noted the high demand, stating, "Tirupati sees 100,000 tourists daily with only 300 branded hotel rooms available. This scarcity has created a market where 1,000 tatkal tickets are sold every day at Rs 10,000 per person." The Postcard Hotel aims to cater to this demand and enhance the hospitality landscape in the region.
