TRUMPF order intake rises 7% as sales stabilise

TRUMPF reported signs of recovery in fiscal year 2025/26, with order intake rising by 7% to 4.5 billion euros and sales remaining broadly stable at 4.34 billion euros.

The high-tech company’s sales were marginally above the 4.33 billion euros recorded in the previous fiscal year. The performance exceeded its earlier forecast, which had anticipated declining group revenue and only stagnant to slightly higher orders.

The US overtook Germany to become TRUMPF’s largest single market, with sales increasing by around 16% to approximately 760 million euros. Sales in Germany declined by 6% to about 660 million euros, while China remained the company’s largest Asian market despite a 7% fall to around 450 million euros.

TRUMPF said growth was recorded across its machine tool, laser, electronics and extreme ultraviolet businesses. Its EUV operations, developed in collaboration with ASML, benefited from increased semiconductor demand.

Chief Executive Officer Nicola Leibinger-Kammüller said the rise in orders indicated a slight economic turnaround, although geopolitical conditions remained challenging. The company expects further growth during the current fiscal year.

TRUMPF employed 16,960 people worldwide as of June 2026, including around 8,200 in Germany and 5,350 at its Ditzingen headquarters. The company will publish its final results, including earnings, in October 2026.
